MFNY Committees are essential to the Forum's operations, each focusing on a key area such as governance, membership, programming, finance, communications, awards, youth education, and fundraising. Together, they ensure the effective delivery of MFNY’s mission, support its signature initiatives like the ULF Program, and foster engagement across the municipal finance community.

Nominating Committee

Identifies and recommends qualified candidates for the Board of Governors, supporting leadership continuity and organizational governance.

Membership Committee

Promotes membership in MFNY and manages the membership guide to foster engagement and maintain a strong professional network.

Program Committee

Chaired by the Vice President, the Committee organizes MFNY events, secures speakers with Board approval, and promotes attendance through publicity and outreach efforts.

Finance Committee

Led by the Treasurer, this committee oversees financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal management to ensure responsible stewardship of resources.

Youth Education Committee

Oversees the ULF Program, which provides paid internships, training workshops, and scholarships to ULF alumni.

Awards Committee

Solicits nominations, evaluates candidates based on leadership and industry impact, and recommends award recipients to the Board.

Annual Dinner Committee

Plans and executes MFNY’s annual dinner, manages fundraising, and addresses ethics matters. Proceeds support the ULF Program.

Communications Committee

Manages the Forum’s website, directory, and LinkedIn presence, and reviews public communications for consistency and alignment.
