In 2006, the Board of the Forum reached a decision to actively recruit more public sector members. To this end a new category of membership was established for Public Sector members. Given the tradition of leadership of the Forum by individuals in the public sector as well as a continuing goal of focusing the agenda of the Forum on topics of interest to both public and private sector members, this new category of membership was established.
